One day I was sitting there smoking Highbottom Leaf tobacco, listening to the ZZ Top song “Gimme All Your Lovin’,” and staring at my growing list of modules when the words Leather and Lace popped into my head. They were NOT on the list and rattled around in there (lots of empty space) then before I knew it I had come up with Mistress of the Parlor of Leather and Lace. And just like that, I added another project to the future module “to do” list.

That evening, the bewitching Mistress appeared to me with seductive eyes, wearing a sexy velvet bustier while holding a black riding crop with tassles. Her cute bare feet and toes even had red polish. She thought of everything… damn her! I slowly rolled my eyes and sighed then told her dismissively, “Sorry, lady—I already have way too many books to write, your story will get told another time. Have a good night—and don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out!” Her smile turned steely—no longer playful and her eyes lit up like a fire with a ferocious lust. Like a tractor beam they locked with mine then she consumed me, and I found myself completely unable to resist her passion. Fortunately, the Highbottom Leaf had kicked in, and the experience with her felt euphoric with increased sensitivity to touch and physical excitement beyond mortal feelings. When I finally regained my senses about one minute later, I was slack-eyed and silly, my beautiful body covered in lipstick kisses and I heard her mellifluous voice fading away saying “Congratulations! You’re the FIRST NAME of 1000 in the Book of Lace.” She giggled and disappeared. All I could say was, “Son of a bitch!” Now it wasn’t just on the schedule—it was unavoidable AND my name appears forever in the Book of Lace!

The Parlor of Leather and Lace can appear in any dimension, city, town, village, or forgotten corner where souls may be claimed through seduction, vice, and moral decay. Belladora’s power lies in her ability to convince others to choose their own downfall and to take them as well as be taken. This is a great ROLE-PLAYING MODULE for YOU and your PLAYERS can have fun with IMPROV ACTING. Adjust the intensity to suit your group—but don’t be afraid to lean into discomfort, mystery, and consequence. I hope you enjoy this module as much as I enjoyed creating it for you and your players.
